The Story Behind This Shirt

This shirt was created for our friend, Kurt Herzberg.

Kurt is currently fighting a rare form of cancer. Rather than simply asking for donations, we wanted to create something meaningful—something that reflects the character of the man we're supporting.

For those of us who worked together over the years, one object became an unlikely symbol.

An old staple gun sat in the training facility through decades of change. As organizations came and went, each new name was written on it. Over time, it became more than just a tool. It became a record of the people who passed through, the friendships that were forged, and the mission that continued despite constant change.

People came and went.

Jobs changed.

Life changed.

The staple gun remained.

That simple tool became a reminder that while circumstances change, character endures.

The words I Endure aren't just about surviving hardship. They're about continuing to move forward with integrity, purpose, and quiet determination—even when life becomes difficult.

That spirit is why we chose to dedicate this shirt to Kurt.

This collaboration between Mind Your Wake and Liberty Gear honors not only our friend, but everyone who chooses resilience over surrender, hope over despair, and purpose over circumstance.
